The Challenge
We launched Redeployable to fix a broken system, one where veterans, brimming with transferable skills, are routinely overlooked by traditional hiring processes. But we knew early on: solving the career crisis for service leavers means going bigger than just individual journeys. It means tackling the hiring challenges at the source, with the companies shaping the future of work.
Just one month after launch, we partnered with Meta to host a landmark event focused on exactly that.
The Why Behind the Event
The tech sector is facing a serious hiring problem, vacancies in digital roles, burnout from under-resourced teams, and a gap between the skills companies say they need and those they’re actively hiring for. We believe the veteran community holds a critical piece of the solution: adaptable, capable professionals who already know how to learn fast, lead under pressure, and build systems that work.
So we asked: What would it look like to get industry leaders and military talent in the same room? To break down the myths, challenge the status quo, and explore new pathways into tech?

Powered by Partnership: Redeployable x Meta
Meta opened its London headquarters to us on October 19th to host a panel unlike any other, one that brought together voices from every corner of the hiring ecosystem. The panel included:
Laura Wilkinson, Chief People Officer at Adarga
Chief People Officer at Adarga, Laura offers insights from scaling a tech start-up in the fast lane, with a uniquely high percentage of ex-military in the workforce.

Laura shared how Adarga, a cutting-edge AI and data analytics company, has built a workforce where over 30% are ex-military. Her insights into fast-growth hiring and the business value of military experience made one thing clear: the ROI is real.
Emma Dutton MBE, Founder of Applied Influence Group
A veteran turned CEO and founder, Emma's dual perspective will shed light on the veteran experience and the world of start-ups.

Emma’s dual lens as a veteran and founder gave voice to the veteran transition experience, and the innovation potential that military training unlocks when applied to start-up environments.
David Pownall, VP of Services and Safety at Schneider Electric
Vice President Of Services and Safety at Schneider Electric, David will share his experiences of the hiring obstacles and experiences encountered within a mega, enterprise company.

From global hiring strategies to inclusive onboarding, David revealed what it takes to drive systemic change in a global enterprise, and the barriers that still exist for military talent in big business.
Together, they explored:
- Why traditional hiring filters are failing veterans and businesses alike
- What companies need to do now to future-proof their workforce
- How hiring ex-forces talent isn’t charity, it’s competitive advantage
Where Redeployable Comes In
At Redeployable, we’re not just helping veterans find new careers, we’re redesigning how they access them. Our platform connects service leavers directly to companies who value what they bring, using career matching tools, assessment centres, and community support to remove guesswork from the process.
Events like this are proof: when you get the right people talking, real change begins.
What Happened Next
The room was full. Questions were flying. And for many in the audience, this wasn’t just another corporate panel, it was the first time they saw their own potential through a different lens.
Veterans told us they felt seen. Employers told us they felt inspired. And for both sides, it sparked new thinking about what modern, inclusive hiring should look like.
This is just the beginning. We’re continuing to build these kinds of industry partnerships, with Meta and beyond, because it’s not enough to tell veterans where they belong. We have to show them, with clear, accessible routes into the sectors that need them most.
