Redeployable Privacy Policy

Who we are

Redeployable Limited ("Redeployable", "we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13736936, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZB360429.

This policy explains what personal data we hold about you, why we hold it, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to our website at redeployable.io, to the Redeployable platform, and to any other site or service we operate that links to it. It forms part of our Terms of Use.

What we collect

What you give us. Your name, email address and the information you provide when you sign up, including whether you are a service leaver, a veteran or a civilian, and your transition date. Your CV and the work history, education, skills and military service in it. Your answers in simulations, exercises and chat. Your job preferences. Messages you send through the Service. A profile photo, if you add one. Anything you send us when you ask for help.

You tell us where you are based, so we can show you roles within reach and sort them by distance.

What we collect automatically. Your IP address, device and browser information, and how you use the Service: the pages you open, the features you use and when.

We do not buy personal data, and we do not receive it about you from data brokers or enrichment services.

How we use it

We use your data to run the Service: to build your profile, suggest roles, compare your experience against what a role asks for, run simulations and show you the results, let you apply to roles and message recruiters, and answer you when you contact us.

We also use it to keep the Service secure, to understand how it is used so we can improve it, and to send you marketing where you have asked for it.

Why we are allowed to use your data

We use your data to run the Service and give you what you signed up for, which is our contract with you. That covers your profile, job matching, simulations, messaging and support.

We rely on our legitimate interests to keep the Service secure, to understand how it is used and to improve it.

We rely on your consent for marketing emails and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw it at any time.

Where the law requires us to keep or disclose something, we do that to meet a legal obligation.

How we use AI

We use AI to build your profile from your CV, suggest roles, offer career tools, compare your experience against what a role asks for, and score simulation answers. Our AI providers process your information on our instructions and do not use it to train their models. The AI does not make decisions about you, and nothing in the Service makes a decision about you by automated means alone.

Where we assess your fit for a job, you can see the result and the reasoning behind it, and add your own comments to anything you disagree with.

What employers see

We share your information with an employer only when you apply to one of its roles and confirm that you want it shared. Until you do both, the employer cannot access any information about you.

When you do, the employer's recruiters can see your profile, your CV, your Job Fit, and your simulation results (if any exist) for that role. Once your information is with an employer, that employer is responsible for how it uses it, under its own privacy notice.

Messaging

Recruiters can message you about a role you have applied to, and you can reply. We store the messages and send you an email when one arrives. Messages are not private between the two of you: other recruiters at the same employer can see the conversation, and Redeployable staff with access to that employer's account can read it.

Sensitive data

Military service history, training records and career transition status are not special category data under UK GDPR, and not sensitive personal information under US state privacy law. We treat them as ordinary career data, in the same way they would appear on a CV.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to give us, information about your health, your religion, your ethnicity, your sexual orientation or your criminal record.

Children

The Service is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from under-18s, and we will delete it if we find it.

Who we share it with

We share your data with employers as described above, and with the suppliers who help us run the Service: hosting and infrastructure, sign-in, email, analytics, AI providers, and mapping. Each works under a contract that allows them to use your data only to provide their service to us. We will also disclose data where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

Where your data goes

Some of our suppliers are outside the United Kingdom. Where your data goes to a country without a UK adequacy decision, we use the UK's approved contract terms to protect it, and we remain responsible for it.

How we protect your data

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access by our staff is limited to those who need it, controlled by role, and logged, including where a member of staff views the platform as you in order to help with a problem. We hold no payment card details and no health data.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking methods that the Service needs to work, and others that help us understand how it is used and measure our advertising. You choose which of the optional ones to allow when you first visit, and you can change that at any time in our cookie settings. We do not use cookies to track you across other companies' websites.

How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data while your account is open.

When you close your account, we delete or anonymise it. What remains holds dates, scores and categories, but nothing that identifies you. Our analytics and AI providers hold records against an account identifier, which expire on their own schedules, and we keep anything the law requires us to keep.

Deleted data can still be recovered from our backups for up to 30 days, after which it is gone.

Information you have shared with an employer is held by that employer and is not ours to delete.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to another service. You can object to us using it, and you can withdraw consent for marketing at any time. We do not charge for this and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Ask us at [email protected]. We may need to check who you are before we act, and we will do that using information we already hold rather than asking for more.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, tell us and we will look again. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live.

If you are in the United States

Redeployable Limited is a UK company with no US entity, and your data is handled under this policy wherever you are. Your state may give you rights of its own; the rights above cover them, and you exercise them the same way. You can authorise someone to make a request for you, in writing. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. If you are not satisfied after we have looked again, you can contact your state attorney general.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect.
